We have felt the ineffable sensation that travels up the shaft through the fingers into the pleasure centers of the brain when the clubhead meets the ball at the moment of impact. Our Pavlovian response is activated when the ball plunges over the lip and drops to the bottom of the cup. As life-changing as these in-round experiences may be, they’re no match for the feeling of satisfaction associated with witnessing and participating in the changes that the game facilitates in lives and communities around the world.
